Axient is seeking a Senior Test Enginer -Hypersonics to support the 780th Test Squadron on the TMAS II contract at Eglin AFB in Florida. The 780th Test Squadron is the Air Force's developmental test agency for air-to-air, air-to-surface, direct-fire, and advanced munitions. The candidate should have a working knowledge of Hypersonic weapon systems; USAF, USN, or Marines fighter/bomber tactics and weapons employment. Prior experience in hypersonic developmental weapons, and/or operational testing is highly desired. Aircrew experience is highly desired.

What you will do... Establishes standards for test documentation and technical reporting, Provides technical review of test directives, methods of test, data packages, letter reports, and technical reports, Provides technical management and accomplishes engineering duties related to the test and evaluation of major programs to include development tests, engineering evaluation tests, operational evaluation tests, and joint T&E programs on air-to-air/air-to-surface weapons, Provides a range of technical and administrative support to the Flight Chief, and Represents the Squadron and AFTC at conferences and with other commands, HQ USAF, HQ USA, HQ USN, OSD, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), foreign nations, or industry on matters pertaining to the T&E of conventional weapons systems and their compatibility with various airborne, seaborne, or ground systems. Skills you will need...

Essential Experience Required:

Master's degree in Engineering or Applicable discipline. Ten (10) years of experience including at least six (6) years of operational or developmental test experience or equivalentFamiliarity with instrumentation, range, aircraft, aircrew, data and safety constraints associated with developmental testExperience with developmental testing in a highly classified environment up to Special Access Program levelsExperience or familiarity with MRTFB testing at locations such as Eglin AFB, Nellis AFB, Edwards AFB, China Lake NAS, Point Mugu NAS, White Sands Missile Range, and othersDevelop test planning documentation for an emerging weapon programForecast test assets and range requirementsIntegrate with program offices and prime contractorsAct a Test Director/ Test Conductor during mission executionBrief and debrief executing aircrew on mission requirementsAbility to communicate clearly to multiple stakeholders and resolve competing test resource requirementsSelf-Motivated to learn a new system under test and be proactive to meet program requirements

Highly Desired Experience:

Experience in DoD weapons acquisition process highly desiredExperience with USAF and USN fighter/bomber Test, operations and weapon systems highly desiredExperience developing creative strategies to successfully achieve high-paced testing milestones desiredTest Pilot School graduate or Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun) graduate desired

Required Security Level:

Must be a US Citizen Must possess and be able to maintain a Secret clearance and be eligible for Top Secret/SCI, program level or higher clearance.
