Senior Test & Process Engineer

**Description**
The Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) Algorithms, Modeling and Assessments (AMA) division is looking for a Senior Test & Process Engineer with a significant experience in designing, developing and implementing energetics testing methods and diagnostic equipment.
The ideal candidate should be independently driven with a passion for research and development as well as possess the ability to use a holistic approach to design, develop, evaluate and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower-level detailed requirements.
**Due to the nature of work performed candidates must be U.S. citizens eligible for a Department of Defense Secret, or higher, level security clearance.**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in Engineering and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with 6-8 years of experience.
+ Strong analytic, written, and oral communication skills.
+ Works well in a team environment compromised of other technicians, engineers and scientists.
+ Experience evaluating and coding mathematical models.
+ Proven ability to manage testing operations and laboratory equipment with a focus on ensuring strict safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
+ Ability to review documentation such as technical data packages, standard operating procedures, quality production documents, and other process documentation.
+ Must be a United States citizen eligible to receive and maintain a Secret or higher Department of Defense Security Clearance.
**Desired Attributes:**
+ Expertise in energetic material testing and analysis with a focus on safety, efficiency, and product quality.
+ Expert on various testing strategies, maintenance techniques, and procedures related to the validation of energetic systems chemicals and formulations.
+ In-depth knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in the field of energetics development and manufacturing.
