Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test/Validation Engineer to work in the Machine Testing and Endurance department based at our Malaga Demonstration & Learning Center (MDLC) in Southern Spain. The Machine Testing and Endurance Department tests products, components, and systems to support the Caterpillar Product Groups and Marketing Organizations during the design, development and research process.

When you join Team Caterpillar as a Senior Test/Validation Engineer, you will interact with people from diverse technical and cultural backgrounds within different Business Units all over the world and create strong relations.

What You Will Do:

Perform instrumented tests, measuring various external and internal channels of earthmoving machinesLead Testing ExpeditionsData reduction and understandingEvaluate software, new products, processes, or systemsDocument processes and tasksChange software and configurationsCommunicate results to product groups, suppliers, team members, and other business unitsContribute to the design of new products and processesSupport other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers, and suppliersSupport in troubleshooting procedures

What You Have:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institutionUsually 5 years of relevant experience in hands-on engineering function (as a Test Engineer)Experience and knowledge in instrumented tests using test equipment such as eDAQ, Dewesoft (or similar) and CANapeExcellent Analytical Skills; Practice of data reduction and understandingEffective Communications: Fluent in EnglishProven ability to work independently, apply theoretical concepts, and collaborate effectively in a teamUnderstanding of the process to design, develop and/or research products, components and/or systems

Top Candidates Also Have:

Advanced technical machine and engine knowledge, and/or troubleshooting experienceExperience with Electrified Machines and Quality Management systems such us ISO 9001 or ISO 17025Experience in machine guidance systems (2D/3D)Knowledge of Spanish
