Education:
Bachelor’s degree required. Completion of coursework toward Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification preferred.
Experience:
3 to 5 years compensation experience in total rewards including compensation, benefits, or related HR functions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Healthcare experience preferred.
Skills:
· Comprehensive understanding of state, federal, and other statutory regulations related to total rewards.
· Knowledge of compensation practices and benefits administration, including health, wellness, and retirement programs.
· Skill in job analysis, job evaluation techniques, and market benchmarking.
· Proficiency in data analysis and statistical principles.
· Problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex issues.
· Ability to research and explain intricate total rewards concepts.
· Consultative approach to resolving HR-related inquiries and challenges.
· Strong relationship-building skills with HR Business Partners, Managers, and external vendors.
· Effective oral and written communication skills. · Expertise in using HRIS and Payroll systems and advanced proficiency in Excel
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Researches and recommends total rewards solutions to address internal equity, recruitment, retention, and employee engagement.
· Conducts and analyzes market studies to inform pay recommendations, salary grade assignments, and benefits competitiveness.
· Collaborates with HR Business Partners and managers to address total rewards administration issues, providing guidance across all
organizational levels.
· Conducts and participates in national and local market salary surveys.
· Prepares data and analysis for budgeting and forecasting total rewards program costs, including merit increases, market
adjustments, and benefits offerings.
· Oversees the development and administration of merit pay, benefits programs, employee recognition, incentive plans, and wellness
initiatives.
· Leads and participates in special projects to enhance the organization’s total rewards strategy, aligning with company goals.
· Ensures all positions are classified correctly in accordance with Fair Labor Standards Act.
· Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, ACA, and other applicable laws.
· Serves as the primary liaison between Payroll, HRIS, and benefits vendors for issues related to total rewards.
· Documents and maintains standard operating procedures for total rewards programs and ensures accessibility for internal
stakeholders.
