Senior Traffic Project Manager

HDR is seeking a Senior Traffic Project Manager in the Tampa, Florida office. The individual in this position will be a key member of the HDR FL, AL, MS Transportation Business Group and will serve as a Project Manager for traffic related tasks and projects in the Tampa Bay Region. They will also help lead, develop, and expand our local team.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating project staffing and workload management on traffic modeling, engineering, planning, and research projects.Plans, directs and monitors all aspects of large multi-disciplinary Traffic and Planning projects that may include:Traffic engineering studies such as speed studies, signal warrants, parking studies, access management, travel time, traffic impact studies, etc.Traffic operational analysis (VISSIM, Synchro, FREEVAL, etc.) including preparation of PDE traffic analyses, IARs, and ICE evaluations. Highway/roadway safety analyses (including HSM, ISATe, etc.)Innovative interchange/intersection, multimodal mobility, and complete streets concept development.Provides support for local, regional and statewide multimodal transportation plan development.Supports model building, calibration, and analysis by using large datasets

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with traffic engineering/design and transportation planning projects/programs.PTOEWell developed analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.Ability to handle multiple assignments.Ability to lead and grow a team of professionals.Programming skills in support of microsimulationRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering10 years related experienceA minimum 5 years project management experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseMS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
