Senior Training Instructor
Location: National Capital Region (NCR)
Clearance: Active Secret
Support the Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA) Office of Consular Systems and Technology (CST) divisions management, administration, and quality assurance of its critical information technology supporting Consular locations, overseas posts, domestic Passport agencies and VISA processing centers.
Responsibilities· Develop a refined curriculum for the print controller
· Research curriculum actively and remain up to date on print controller software developments
· Conduct training at various passport agencies, passport centers, and support site locations
· Support CA/CST training initiatives, and interface via email with operators as needed on an ad hoc basis.
· Conduct satisfaction surveys regarding the effectiveness and completeness of training courses to improve the curriculum.
· Travel to various passport agencies, passport centers, and support site locations to conduct print controller training and refresher training as required.
· Collaborate with USG Training Coordinator to ensure optimal training experiences and knowledge retention.
· Create printed and instructional materials to be used in training.
· Actively seek current training methods and best practices to facilitate training employees.
· Schedule and conduct meetings with CA/CST to proactively identify topics to be address or areas in need of additional instruction.
· Develop KBAs to be distributed to CA promoting continuing outreach and training refreshment.
· Assist in planning, creating, and implementing each year's training courses and materials for each passport agency, passport center and support site location
QualificationsRequired:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or other technically relevant degree
· 7 years’ experience developing and delivering training programs
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Power Point)
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills are required.
· Possess a Secret Clearance
