Responsibilities:
The (Senior) Operational Transfer Pricing Specialist is supporting the Bruker Tax function with execution of the Bruker Transfer Pricing Policy. The focus is on operational transfer pricing (OTP) where the primary responsibilities include analysing and review of intercompany transactions, take ownership of TP monitoring, and perform TP adjustment execution, including coordination of recording TP adjustments and reconciliation thereof.
The (Senior) Operational Transfer Pricing Specialist ensures compliance of Bruker with international transfer pricing regulations and engages in review of Bruker’s transfer pricing models, preparation of supporting tax documentation, , conducts financial analyses, supports tax audits, and supports tax compliance. The role involves collaborating with global finance and accounting teams in Bruker’s Business Support Center in Warsaw for accurate transaction recording. They provide tax advice, analyze contracts, support cross-border transactions, demonstrating expertise in financial analysis and tax law.
Key responsibilities
Maintain the (operational) TP data model(s) (understand the Bruker company structure and intercompany trade relations, assure arms lengths margin allocations, calculate transfer pricing adjustments and assure the proper recording and accounting treatment), ensuring accuracy, relevance, and audit readinessAssist in the development of data models and implement control-based governance for financial transactions and related transfer pricing dataInterpret and manipulate large datasets to support TP analysis and decision-makingUpdate and operationalize transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance and efficiencyAssist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring timely and accurate communicationPrepare tax and financial analysis reports and presentations, incorporating research and quantitative analysisWrite technical memos detailing the analytical process and findings for internal and external stakeholdersDocument interviews and prepare detailed summaries for team members to support informed decision-making.Accounting treatment responsibilities of adjustmentsPerform other duties as required.Qualifications Education - B.Sc. degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or Economics; US-GAAP experience preferredMinimum of 2 years (4 years for the senior position) of relevant experience in transfer pricing or comparable activitiesLanguage skills - English (min. C1) required, German/French/Italian (B1) will be a plusIT skills - Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel; Good experience with SAP systems (R/3, S/4HANA); Openness to data analytics/process automation tools (e.g. VBA, Alteryx, Power BI)Comprehensive expertise in (operational) transfer pricing processes, benchmarking analysis, acquisitions, tax laws, and transfer pricing regulations, with experience in reviewing tax provisions from a transfer pricing perspectiveKeen attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to critically evaluate situations, assess their importance, urgency, and risks, and communicate these effectivelyProficient in conveying information clearly and understandablyStrong organizational skills with an open-minded and adaptable attitude towards changeAbility to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple tasksCompetence in working both independently and collaboratively as part of a teamPast SSC transition experience is preferred
