Role description:

Due to consistent growth in our Infrastructure business, including the winning of the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) project in Adelaide, an exciting position has become available within our growing Advisory Planning and Technology (APT) team. We are currently looking for a Senor Transport Modeller role to assist us delivering large infrastructure and our traffic modelling projects meeting or exceeding client expectations. You will be primarily responsible for delivering modelling technical works to support specific project needs and our business.

This role will primarily focus on traffic modelling technical works.

You will have a technical expertise in a number of areas and a strong desire to learn new skills and participate in the variety of projects that the Transport Division undertakes within the Advisory - Planning and Technology disciplines. Key areas of expertise include:

Micro-simulation modelling (ie. AIMSUN, VISSIM)   Meso scoping modelling (ie. AIMSUN, VISUM)  Intersection modelling and analysis (ie. SIDRA)   Operational traffic modelling   Traffic modelling support services in traffic impact and planning and land development works

Role accountabilities:

Planning and delivery of projects to satisfy the requirements of Quality Assurance guidelines, budget and project brief   Responsible for the quality and delivery of technical elements of projects conducted by the Transport Division   Conduct of Technical Reviews of completed traffic modelling work to ensure accuracy and quality   Responsible for the completion of required activities to deliver projects including investigation, analysis and design in accordance with accepted practice and principles   Ongoing liaison with relevant Project Leaders/Team Leaders ensuring all parties are kept informed of all relevant matters in relation to projects   Completion of projects according to budget and program guidelines ensuring that the requirements of the Project Quality Plan are satisfied   Engaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)   Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or Arcadis   Ensuring you are familiar and compliant with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. You are a seasoned transport modelling professional with strong industry ties and demonstrated credibility in a consulting environment. You will come to us with: Degree in Engineering (Civil) or demonstration of substantial relevant experience in a consulting practice.   Master’s Degree in Engineering (Traffic/Transport) would be an advantage.   Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in in an associated area such as transport planning, infrastructure planning, urban and regional planning, transport engineering, urban design, or geography;  The ability to develop and implement a vision for the proactive and positive development of a transport network that is modern in its approach, sustainable, and equitable;  Proven ability to effectively engage, advocate for and influence outcomes related to transport services, infrastructure and accessibility;  Strong writing skills and experience in communicating technical and strategic content for a variety of audiences that is clear and concise;  Sound knowledge and ability to apply forward-thinking transport models and methodologies in a range of scenarios.
