Your Role at Baxter

The Senior Transportation Analyst provides a great opportunity for a self-starter looking to make an impact in healthcare through critical product movement across the supply chain. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for driving product movement from our various plants (domestic & International) into the US and Canada. This role will work closely with our carrier partners, distribution centers and cross functional stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply. This role is expected to operationally execute as plan and deliver efficiencies within supply chain through continuous improvement projects. Data driven decision making and collaboration across various stakeholders are key attributes to success in this role.

What you'll be doing

Create open lines of daily communication with our carrier partners across regions and various transportation modes to efficiently move Baxter products and drive operational excellence

Drive carrier performance by managing KPIs and proactively resolving operational issues

Perform data analysis to support data driven decision making

Complete ad hoc transportation analysis and implement cost savings initiatives to deliver on continuous improvement projects

Participate in business reviews and assist in long term capacity and network strategy plans for Baxter global network

Collaborate internally with Planning, Customer Service, Warehousing, Freight Audit and other internal stakeholders as needed

Present updates to our Transportation Leadership Team with clear timing and deliverables.

What you'll bring

BS in Operational Management / Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or similar degree

3+ years related experience

Strong proficiency in Excel is preferred

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and develop rapport with other functional leaders inside Baxter and Supply base

Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment along with excellent project management skills is a must

Ability to influence others in sensitive or difficult situations

Analytical experience for solving complex problems with clear fact-based solutions

Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to meet service commitments and budget requirements

Agile mindset to constantly adapt to a changing environment

Preferred proficiency with Transportation Management System (TMS), BI Analytics Tool and Visibility software

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $76,000 - $104,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonus.
