About our Transportation Team:

HDR's Oregon Transportation team is in search of a Senior Transportation Engineer to join our growing practice and world-class engineering roadway design expertise. Our transportation projects include highways, local roadways, large urban freeways, ADA ramp improvement programs, bike/pedestrian lanes, transit, and BRT corridors projects.

In the role of Senior Transportation Engineer (Roadway), we'll count on you to:Work as a key member of a highway/roadway design team with medium to large projects.Prepare and oversee the following roadway/highway design work using local or AASHTO standards: horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway sections, intersection layout and sight distance determination, interchange layout, roadway drainage, and ADA ramp design.Prepare the following elements of various sizes of contract plans, site preparation plans, roadway profiles, drainage plans and profiles, utility plans, paving, pavement marking plans, signing plans, traffic control plans.Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in Civil EngineeringExperience with MicroStation, InRoads, Microsoft Office applications

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree A minimum of 10 years experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design Professional Engineer (PE) license Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams Project management skills desirable Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans Must have coordinated survey, grading, drainage and utilities and layout of various site items is a plus An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
