Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a Sr. Transportation Engineer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. You will serve as a design lead and project manager for our Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority clients, as well as for our various county and municipal roadway projects. We want to grow future leaders and technical experts and are deeply committed to employee development and training.
Project Management: client communication and reporting responsibilities, management of deadlines and project deliverables, project execution and quality management, agency coordination, scope and fee development along with project scheduling and tracking of activities
Leadership and Mentoring: Serving as the technical lead in organizing and executing a program of project designs across our transportation practice. Training younger staff in sound design practices.
Business Development: Assisting in pursuing future project opportunities, including events, conferences, and other networking activities
Technical Expertise: Leading and managing the analysis, design, and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates and technical reports for our transportation clients
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
8+ years of experience in roadway design with at least 3+ years of progressive project management experience
Oklahoma Professional Engineering license (or the ability to become licensed in Oklahoma within 6 months)
Preferred
Strong technical skills in roadway and drainage design
Experience with MicroStation and Geopak/Open Roads
3+ years of progressive project management experience
