The Siemens Mobility (SMO) Senior Treasury Professional is part of the broader Asia Pacific team with primary responsibility for supporting all SMO Asia Pacific (ASP) entities in Treasury matters and ensuring compliance with Treasury policies, procedures and controls to protect the company’s assets. The individual in this role must have a deep understanding of trade finance advisory, currency risk management, and be capable of providing advisory services related to the same. As part of a dynamic organization, the talent in this position must maintain appropriate internal and external relationships. The position reports to the Head of Treasury Asia Pacific within Siemens Mobility and internally interfaces with the broader Treasury group, CFOs, business units, accounting, tax, legal, and compliance groups. In addition, the position requires regular interface with banks and financial institutions.

Responsibilities:

Support SMO Asia Pacific entities (especially ASP) in Treasury matters and ensure compliance with Treasury policies, procedures and controls to protect the company’s assets (areas of responsibility include guarantees and currency risk management).Provide advisory services (incl. trainings) to commercial managers in sales, bid and project management, procurement and manufacturing units in the bidding and execution phases for project and product business, especially concerning currency risk management and guaranty related contractual terms and requirements.Trade Finance (Guaranty) AdvisoryReview and advise, incl. drafting & mark-ups, on parent and affiliate company / corporate guaranties, standby letters of credit (SLCs), bank guaranties, surety bonds and other guaranties and letters of support (collectively Guaranties)Ensure timely and accurate issuance and amendment of GuarantiesReview of guaranty forecast for Siemens MobilityManage information within the Guaranty database for reporting and controlling, including engagement with management, accounting, and other Siemens stakeholdersAssist with Guaranty charges from banks and surety companies as well as internal billingsAdvise concerning corporate finance circulars and external rules/regulations (e.g. UCP 600, …) and on standard practice as well as apply this knowledge to drafting and negotiating Guaranty terms and relevant contract sectionsCurrency Risk ManagementIdentification and analysis of currency risks leading to development and implementation of hedging strategies and processes with third parties, including execution of hedgesDetermination of calculation rates and monitoring of contingent risksImplementation of IFRS currency risk related requirements as well as hedge accounting, including support closing activitiesControlling and monitoring of hedging levels, including analysis of currency risk impacts on the P&LMonitor and ensure compliance with the internal policies and global foreign exchange derivative regulationsYour Qualifications And Skills – Digital And SolidBachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or in a related field, ideally supplemented by additional finance-related qualifications (e.g. MBA, CFA).At least 5 years of professional work experience in Treasury / Corporate Finance in an international company or equivalent experience.Excellent analytical and financial skills and excellent oral/written communication skills in English.Proactive with strong ability to work in a team, intercultural strength and ability to work collaboratively across functions in a highly demanding and dynamic environment.Ability to enhance processes and implement corporate guidelines leading to efficiency gains and / or high-quality results.
