Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Treasury Specialist located in Midland, MI!
This Senior Treasury Specialist role is an advanced role within Portfolio Investments. You will be responsible for performing a broad range of complex work aligned with the Portfolio Operations work process. In this role, you will be expected to utilize in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in job discipline as well as basic knowledge of related job disciplines to solve complex problems. You will work independently within broad guidelines and policies with minimal guidance, acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience. You will be expected to solve complex problems, take new perspectives on existing solutions and exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. The work you will perform in this role impacts the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of Portfolio Operations and will contribute to successful and compliant asset management within Portfolio Investments.
Responsibilities
Provide front-office asset management support and ensure accuracy of committee materials regarding portfolio performance and asset details, cash flow presentation and forecasting, and expense management.Direct the daily movement of funds and perform cash positioning and reconciling activities.Coordinate account structure needs across front-office asset managers and back-office operations team and lead the implementation of changes with third party partners and their systems.Identify and drive improvements in work process efficiency, reporting adequacy and service support as the focal point for custodian systems.Complete month-end verifications and reconciliations of various asset classes and their valuations to ensure reporting accuracy and control compliance.Provide oversight over plan expenses, invoice approvals and alignment with budgeting & fee expectations.Partner with other internal and external groups to resolve data gaps and/or reporting discrepancies.Lead small projects within Portfolio Operations to ensure successful transactions in support of approved strategies.Utilize knowledge of asset classes and fund management to add value to the portfolios supported.Provide support to internal and external audit partners.Opportunity for additional responsibilities aligned with asset class clearing and settlement.Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.Preferred Skills
A degree discipline in a finance-related field.Master’s Degree or other Finance Certification.Fluent in English (both written and spoken).Treasury Processes: Has expanded conceptual knowledge of Treasury and basic knowledge of related Treasury disciplines.Problem Solving: Demonstrates ability to solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent.Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical, data organization, communication and collaboration skills required.Communication: Ability to explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.Time Management: Prioritization and time management skills are critical success elements in this role.Pensions Management: Requires an understanding of pension asset management.Working Independently: Ability to work independently within broad guidelines and policies with minimal guidance.Operations Management: Requires advanced skills and expertise in data organization and operations management to drive results.Additional Notes
