About the Team
Virtus from FIS is a leading provider of alternative investment services and technology solutions, specializing in delivering comprehensive front, middle, and back-office services to asset managers, banks, and other institutional investors. Virtus helps its clients manage their alternative investment portfolios, including CLO/CDOs, private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative assets.
What You Will Be Doing
The Middle Office Team maintains the books and records for collateral managers that have outsourced middle office operations. The Senior Trust Administrator leads the team in reconciling and maintaining data on the client's behalf, as well as reviewal of monthly and quarterly reports.
Support assigned Trust Account Manager(s) in the administration of structured finance accounts
Interact in an ongoing relationship with associated financial partners and trust clients to ensure client satisfaction
Perform daily account activity:
Posting receipts
Entering trade orders and check/wire requests
Raising cash for distributions
Handle account inquiries
Submitting ACH transfer instructions
Open/close accounts
Research account discrepancies
Calculate fee sharing data, including manual calculations when necessary
Maintain all account documentation for current and historical monitoring of accounts
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
Typically, at least 3 years financial services industry experience with exceptional attention to detail in processing financial transactions and reconciliations
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS) and Microsoft Office
Experience identifying, researching, and resolving financial discrepancies
Effective communication with all levels of technical and non-technical colleagues and clients
Added Bonus If You Have
Familiarity with waterfall calculations
Trust system experience (CDO Suite, Solvas, etc.)
Working knowledge of syndicated loans, CLO/CDOs, or corporate trust securities
