Job Description

Manage and administer all Pension Dependents Fund and Testamentary Trusts, reporting directly to the Manager of Standard Executors and Trustees. Responsibilities include maintaining high standards for trust functions, completing reconciliations, preparing quarterly management reports, annual financial statements, and Beneficial Ownership Forms, as well as overseeing deregistration of terminated and dormant Trusts. Additionally, supervise Trust and KYC Officers to ensure departmental efficiency.

Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance, Laws Degree or related

Additional Information

Experience:

1-2 years: In-depth knowledge of trust laws, estate planning principles and financial concepts. Experience in trust administration with a Trust Company or firm of attorneys who have a dedicated trust/fiduciary services department. Proven ability to interact with clients, addressing their inquiries, providing guidance and maintaining positive relationships. Proficiency in reviewing legal documents, contracts and regulations relevant to trust administration.3-4 years: Experience in assessing and mitigating risks associated with trust administration, ensuring the security of trust assets and adherence to regulatory compliance. Familiarity with the trust tax laws including income tax and capital gains tax and the implications is taxed in the trust or distributed to the beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible to administer the end-to-end process for all Trusts, and monture the progress against relevant SLA’s and policies and procedure.Collate relevant files / information / documentation in preparation of a termination process.  A comprehensive reconciliation of all transactions for the particular beneficiary must be conducted from the Trust Banking account and the Investment account before the termination is processed.Responsible for setting up of new Trusts (open the relevant files on the S-drive; register; check the validity of the information on the guide sheet and diaries).Ensure that all dormant Trusts are deregistered in terms of the requirements of the Master of the High Court.Prepare Beneficial Ownership Registers for all Pension Fund Dependent Trusts on an annual basis and submitted to the Master of the High Court by end of September annually.
