The Senior UAT (User Acceptance Testing) Specialist will lead advanced testing activities for the Policy Administration System implementation. The Senior UAT Specialist will play a key role in defining testing strategies, developing complex test cases, and ensuring system functionality meets business and technical requirements. The Senior will lead collaboration between the UAT team, business testers, and vendor, while also providing mentorship to junior UAT members. This position ensures the smooth execution of the testing process, prioritization of defects, and continuous improvement of UAT methodologies.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Test Strategy and Planning: Develop UAT test plans, test cases, and scenarios ensuring alignment with business goals and system requirements.
+ Test Case Development and Execution: Lead the creation and execution of high-priority test cases, including functional, non-functional, and end-to-end scenarios.
+ Defect Management: Lead the defect triage process, prioritize issues, perform root cause analysis, and track defects using a defect management system.
+ Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance to junior UAT team members on test case development, best practices, and issue resolution.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with business testers and technical teams to ensure system changes are well understood and testing is aligned with business requirements.
+ SOP and Training Material Development: Assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials to ensure clear user adoption and system understanding.
+ Continuous Improvement: Implement and recommend best practices to enhance test coverage, process efficiency, and UAT team effectiveness.

+ Provide day-to-day operational guidance and support to team to ensure a high level of performance.
+ Listen to team member feedback and resolve issues and conflicts that arise.

+ Collaborate with other teams to share best practices and achieve established goals.
+ Recommend, develop and implement policies and procedures which will enhance performance.
+ Discover specific areas of training and provide ongoing support and coaching.
**REQUIREMENTS**
+ Experience: 5+ years in UAT or QA with a focus on large system implementations, preferably in life insurance or financial services. Proven leadership experience in UAT processes and team management.
+ Skills: Expertise in UAT methodologies, defect tracking, root cause analysis, and regression testing. Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with SOP development and training material creation.
+ Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM). Familiarity with Policy Administration Systems or related insurance software is preferred.
**Qualifications**
Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Worksite or Group services or a related area.
Knowledge Requirements:
+ Excellent written/verbal communication skills
+ Strong understanding of UAT processes, testing methodologies, and defect tracking.
+ Ability to write detailed test cases based on business requirements and user stories.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
+ Experience assisting in the creation of SOPs and training materials for end-users.
+ Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with UAT team members, business testers, and vendor.
+ Strong computer skills using MS Office.
**Hybrid Work Model**
At our Canton location, employees will be on site Monday - Thursday starting 5/1/23. At our Omaha location, employees will be on site 2 days per week.
