About the OpportunityDMI, LLC is seeking a Senior UI Designer
Our Senior UI Designers excel in blending strong design sensibilities with functional expertise. In this
role, you will lead the design process from conceptual UI to high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes,
and all the way to development handover and design QA. A critical part of your role will be to manage,
evolve, and create comprehensive design systems, ensuring that our digital products are compelling,
user-friendly, and meet client objectives.
You'll be part of a dynamic design team in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment, where effective
communication with Project Managers, Product Owners, UX Architects, and Developers is essential for
collaboration. Your ability to articulate design thinking clearly will guide both clients and team
members through the project lifecycle.
QualificationsEducation and Years of Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design or a related field. 5-8+ years of relevant industry experience.
A TYPICAL WEEK
Adapt to and leverage emerging technologies effectively. Design and maintain deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously. Elevate our design language by enhancing design systems with new patterns, design tokens, UI components, and comprehensive documentation. Maintain robust relationships across disciplines and projects. Model energy and enthusiasm, be a resource for junior designers, and participate actively in client meetings.Maintain open, honest, and trusting relationships with your discipline and project teams.Deliver seamless design for development handoffs across web or native products.Effectively manage administration such as time reporting and proactively alert team of foreseen time issues

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
A strong portfolio demonstrating visual design across various deliverables. Strong experience with Figma, including prototyping and micro-interactions/UI animations.Proficient in conveying ideas through mood boards, prototypes, and more. Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate in an Agile/Scrum environment. Understand, interpret, and implement team and client feedback.Collaborate with developers to implement high-fidelity designs and system components effectively, ensuring high fidelity to the original design specifications.
DESIGN
DESIGN SYSTEMS
Develop comprehensive design systems encompassing components, variables/tokens, patterns, and style guides to ensure consistency and efficiency across all user interfaces.Continuously evaluate and update design systems you’ll be working on to include new user insights, industry trends, and Figma/tool advancements.Establish governance practices and methodologies to maintain and evolve the design system, ensuring it meets both user needs and business goals.Advocate for design system best practices across the organization.Ensure design consistency across all platforms and devices by adhering to the system guidelines set by Apple, Android and other industry standards.Develop documentation and resources related to the design system for use by internal teams and external stakeholders.
OTHER
Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Additional skills in motion design are a plus.Experience working with tier-1 and tier-2 brands.Willingness to travel for client work as needed.
