Linx Underwriting Solutions Inc acts as Managing General Agent (MGA) for domestic carriers and Lloyd’s syndicates and is authorized to transact insurance business under Delegated Authorities. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results by delivering innovative and effective solutions. You will be underwriting a variety of commercial insurance lines of business within Linx, which includes property and/or casualty, umbrella, and some specialty lines. What the day will look like Assess and evaluate complex risks, while analyzing requests for new business quotes, renewals and endorsements. Determines appropriate pricing based on financial and competitive analysis and thoroughly document thought process of risk assessment Complete underwriting referrals as required Negotiates and binds terms, conditions and premium for new and renewal accounts within individual assigned portfolio and authority level Review and analysis of claims and policy wordings Develops and maintains broker relationships Effectively manages multiple transactions, leveraging system functionalities to appropriately systems and document processing of transactions and file management Create an environment within the team that encourages inclusion and openness to ensure the plan is delivered Participates in self-development activities to improve or develop knowledge of underwriting or business-related subjects. Performing other related duties as assigned. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a good understanding of portfolio management, excellent listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both brokers and our insurance partners to drive an aligned strategy to profitably grow our business.
