POSITION SUMMARY: The University Relations Recruiter is responsible for managing and executing processes and programming to successfully recruit qualified and diverse talent to Marathon Petroleum for early career roles. The Campus Recruiter, in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, will lead the organization’s efforts on campus to attract and engage prospective talent for assigned business units and is accountable for the recruitment lifecycle to include evaluating candidates' skill sets for job qualifications, coordinating job interviews, communicating job offers, and initiating the new hire process. The Campus Recruiter will act as a champion of Marathon's employee value proposition when attracting and recruiting talent. In this role, the campus recruiter will have exposure to senior leaders and the opportunity to hone their communication, collaboration, influencing (or advisory) and strategic thinking skills RESPONSIBILITIES: + Supports enterprise-wide college/university recruiting, including campus relations, the internship/co-op program, and early career hiring that aligns with the organization's current strategic direction and future needs to attract and engage prospective talent for assigned business units. + Facilitates the recruitment lifecycle, including evaluating candidates' skill sets for job qualifications, coordinating job interviews, communicating job offers, and initiating the new hire process while ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience and timely hiring outcomes. + Maintains current, accurate applicant flow information and data integrity within the Applicant Tracking System. + Coordinates and facilitates engagement in Campus Relations initiatives and programs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders by serving as a company ambassador at recruiting events, career fairs, diversity engagements, information sessions, and networking events, and serving as a primary point of contact for assigned stakeholders to support the overall intern/co-op experience. + Partners with the campus teams/business unit liaisons to plan, implement, and build long-term relationships at target universities to maintain a pipeline of exceptional talent for internships/co-ops and entry-level opportunities. + Advises internal stakeholders on best practices and process enhancements to improve recruiting outcomes and the candidate experience. + Manages candidate communication and engagement throughout the recruitment process, including timely updates, feedback, and guidance to candidates and internal stakeholders. + Facilitates early career forecasting process to develop hiring projections for the assigned business unit(s). + Supports the budget planning process to inform funding initiatives on campus alongside key internal stakeholders. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: + Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources Management or Business Administration + Four (4) years of Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, or relevant Stakeholder Management experience required. + Demonstrated poise, professionalism, and the ability to build credibility with senior leaders and other audiences is required. + Previous recruiting and/or sourcing experience preferred; previous experience working with college students and university relations preferred. + Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams is preferred. + Previous experience providing analytical and data visual reports to influence recruitment strategy when interacting with all levels of stakeholders preferred. + Applicant tracking experience highly preferred (ie. Workday). + Experience with the current Microsoft Office Suite required. SKILLS: + Strong sense of discernment, judgement, and emotional intelligence. + Strong communication and presentation skills. + Ability to manage multiple projects and organization needs simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-output environment. + Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet organization needs and goals. + Strong time management and organizational skills + Comfortable working with ambiguity, limited information, and engaging stakeholders to reach clarity. TRAVEL: + Required of this role, especially during the on-campus recruiting season (September-October and mid-January to end of February); can be up to 80-90% of the business week.
