We are currently seeking a Senior Urban Designer. As a Senior Urban Designer, you will be working with our Planning team across the region, in business and client development, project design/delivery, financial management, strategic insight, community outreach and staff development. As the Senior Urban Designer for the region, you will be accountable for assisting with the development and execution of the Planning practice’s regional marketing strategy with responsibilities to include but not limited to: 

Designs and manages planning and urban design projects. Demonstrates creative thinking abilities and contributes to Firmwide design excellence and problem solving. Demonstrates reliable understanding of the relationship between design and constructability. Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects. Continually contributes to the upgrade of the design process by developing and maintaining positive industry relationships and working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and consultants. Participates in managing client relationship. Demonstrates effective conflict resolution techniques with clients and project team members. Involvement in regional planning marketing and business development opportunities, preparation of proposals, interviews, public presentations and other related marketing and press-related materials. Participating in the planning industry activities by way of speaking, presenting and/or writing to enhance the Planning practice’s standards. Participates in intra company agreements, contracts and deliverables and assures HOK standards for project management are met. Actively promotes collaborative and innovative culture. Proactively engages staff and provides opportunities for development.
