As a Senior User Experience Designer, you’ll bring a blend of product thinking, visual design, interaction design, and prototyping expertise. You’ll drive end-to-end user experience for enterprise products, working closely with cross-functional teams to shape solutions that align with business goals and user needs. This role requires a balance of hands-on design work, strategic thinking, and leadership in collaborative settings.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Create compelling design deliverables, including sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and detailed specs to guide product development. Partner with product management and engineering to develop user-centered design solutions that deliver measurable business value. Engage with users to validate design solutions and conduct usability testing, incorporating results into your design process. Lead design reviews, providing feedback to ensure adherence to design principles and consistency across products. Conduct usability testing, user interviews, and other research activities to validate design concepts and incorporate insights. Serve as a thought leader in UX strategy and contribute to the future vision for SAP Procurement products. Facilitate collaborative brainstorming and product discovery sessions with stakeholders to refine and iterate on design solutions. Actively contribute to and help define UX design patterns and best practices within the organization. Collaborate with other designers to detail design pattern and UI controls.
What you bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Product Design, User Experience Design, or a related field. Significant experience in user experience, product design, or interaction design, preferably with B2B and/or large-scale rich internet applications and products. Experience working within a design system Passionate about interaction design and empathetic toward end-users. Deep knowledge of design principles, user-centered methodologies, and interaction principles, with a portfolio showcasing problem-solving skills and design rationale. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work across teams and communicate design decisions effectively to stakeholders. Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.) and prototyping skills to convey ideas and gather feedback effectively. Experience verifying user interface designs through reviews, validations, and formal usability testing with end users. Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude. Experience working with Agile/Lean UX methodologies. Proficiency in emerging design technologies (such as AI and machine learning for design applications). Leadership experience in mentoring or guiding other UX team members is a plus. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively. Experience in shaping product strategy and aligning user experience efforts with business goals.
