To succeed in this role, you’ll need a mixed-methods research toolkit with experience applying these methods judiciously in digital product environments. You’ll bring a nuanced understanding of how to de-risk and create confidence in high-ambiguity topics and build advocacy for the customer across the organization, utilizing your strong communication and collaboration skills to establish trust and rapport.

About the team
The Insight & Experience Innovation (IXI) practice at HelloFresh Group is a multidisciplinary team comprised of User Experience Researchers, Customer Experience Strategists, and Research Operations Specialists. Together, we enable the organization to respond with agility and ease to ever-shifting customer needs and company priorities, empowering our colleagues with information and tools to make well-informed decisions.
What you’ll do Lead research initiatives: Own end-to-end research projects, from proposal through execution to insight delivery and application, balancing qualitative and quantitative methods. Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with product designers, engineers, product managers, marketers, and business stakeholders to align research outcomes with business objectives. Strategic planning: Identify high-impact research opportunities, prioritize them, and develop long-term research roadmaps that ensure we address the most critical user needs. Methodological rigor: Select and employ appropriate research methodologies (e.g., usability testing, contextual inquiry, surveys, ethnographic studies, analytics reviews) to de-risk product decisions and foster data-driven confidence in strategic directions. Synthesize & communicate insight: Translate complex user behaviors and motivations into clear, actionable recommendations, delivering findings via presentations, reports, and workshops. Advocate for the user: Champion user-centric thinking and ensure the customer experience remains at the forefront of product development and decision-making. Mentorship & thought leadership: Provide guidance and best practices on research methods, championing a culture of evidence-based decision-making within the product teams. Stakeholder engagement: Build strong relationships across the organization, establishing trust and rapport as the go-to leader for customer insight. What you’ll bring Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in UX research or related field, preferably within a technology or digital product environment. Education: Bachelor’s in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related discipline. Non-related degrees with significant relevant experience will also be considered. Industry expertise: Demonstrated success conducting impactful user research for complex digital products within large tech companies or similar high-complexity environments. Leadership & collaboration: Prior experience leading full-cycle research projects, including managing stakeholders and mentoring junior researchers. Technical skills: Proficiency with industry-standard research tools (e.g., UserTesting, Qualtrics, Dovetail, mixed-method analysis software). Familiarity with data analytics platforms and understanding of product analytics metrics. Mixed-methods mastery: Expertise in quantitative (e.g., surveys, data analysis) and qualitative (e.g., interviews, contextual inquiry, usability tests) research techniques. Strategic thinker: Ability to see the bigger picture, prioritize effectively, and align research activities with long-term product, design, and business goals. Product acumen: Effectively translate research findings into strategic recommendations that meet user needs while aligning with business objectives and design outcomes. Excellent communicator: Skilled at conveying complex findings and data-driven insights in ways that engage and motivate diverse audiences. You go beyond surface-level data and interpret findings into compelling insights. You vocalize well-founded point-of-views that establish you as a valued thought partner for your stakeholders. Relationship builder: Adept at collaboration, consultation, and stakeholder management while fostering trust, alignment, and transparent communication.
