About the right team member

We're looking for a Senior UX Researcher for the Mindbody Core Business Experience. You will be responsible for developing research programs, defining problem statements, communicating novel insights from mixed-methods research you conduct, developing and steering strategic research roadmaps, and collaborating with the Product Management and Product Design teams to define what to build and how to build it.  

 We are at a pivotal moment at Mindbody where we are shifting the research culture to drive foundational research that helps define product roadmaps. UX Researchers at Mindbody develop a strong understanding of the products and business while balancing user needs to drive the business forward, creating usable, useful, and delightful experiences for our small, medium, and franchise businesses worldwide. 

This role will be based out of the US, reporting to a local Head of Research.

About the roleBe a proactive member of a cross-functional product team by identifying research opportunities that inform product and design strategy, scoping research roadmaps, gaining cross-functional buy-in, and clearly communicating your approach while executing collaboratively.    Have a clear understanding of how various research functions and data sources (e.g. market research, product marketing, analytics, etc.) contribute to the product development lifecycle, and how to integrate them into the research roadmaps you develop.    Present compelling insights and recommendations to multiple teams and leaders across the organization that drive customer-centric decisions.        Lead workshops and design sprints by surfacing relevant insights, proposing research roadmaps, and informing the evolution of our product and design strategy.   Develop a good understanding of the business and products you do research on to prioritize, define and influence OKRs and what to build next.   Contribute to upleveling the craft and impact of the research team by mentoring junior members and scaling yourself by guiding product and design to do research within pre-set scopeSkills & experienceYou have a Bachelor's degree AND have 5+ years experience as a mixed methods user experience researcher with demonstrated experience in a variety of research approaches, including, card sorts, tree tests, diary studies, jobs-to-be-done, writing and analyzing surveys, in-depth interviews, unmoderated and moderated usability testing and concept evaluations.  You have an advanced degree in Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction OR alternative equivalent work experience AND 3-4+ years of experience as a mixed methods researcher. Strong storytelling and presentation experience across a variety of audiences and a good understanding of how to refine presentations to meet the needs of the audience from Product, Design, Engineering partners to leaders in the organization. Proven track record of delivering research roadmaps and insights that move the business forward – influencing partner mindsets, product roadmaps, user experience metrics, and strategy. Experience across digital products and platforms, with expertise in B2B (Small and Medium Business) and/or Wellness Tech and/or AI/ML products an advantage.    Experience leveraging research tools such as Lookback, UserTesting, Dscout, Alchemer (or equivalent e.g., Qualtrics), SQL, R, Python or similar and adaptability to learn and utilize new tools as needed to meet the evolving needsPay transparency

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

The base salary range for this position in the United States is $120,000 to $165,000. The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
