What Is the Opportunity:
Identify and deliver on the UX research needs of the RBC USWM Technology team to ensure data-driven prioritization and decision-making drives the user-centered design process for our technology platforms. As a UX researcher, you will partner with Technology Experience Consultants, Product and Capability Owners to identify, design and execute on end user research needs of various technology projects and initiatives. You will analyze and share research results to UX designers, developers and other business and technology stakeholders to help discover, define and influence the delivery of optimal technology solutions, based on the needs of our end-users.
What will you do:
Create journey maps, based on feedback from our users, business partners, Operations, Supervision and our technology teamsDocument new personas as needed and refine/update those existing in the persona libraryHeuristic evaluations of products, services and processesUse proven research practices and methods, tools and techniques; stay current to offer insight on innovation in the UX research spaceDesign, plan and execute research to meet the needs of assigned projects; identify the most appropriate research methods to meet the needs of project-specific assignments Plan, facilitate and capture the results of discovery sessions, process mapping, journey mapping, design-thinking workshops and requirements gatheringCapture, analyze and distill user feedback; partner with technology experience consultants and product and capability owners to formulate actionable ideas based on user feedbackCommunication and collaboration
Collaborate closely with technology experience consultants, UX designers, product team and developersPresent user research in clear, concise formatCollaborate with technology experience consultants, product and capability owners to raise and escalate risks to user experience based on user research and feedbackArticulate and advocate for the ideal client/user experienceWhat You Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree or equivalent5+ years’ experience developing personas, journey maps and epic stories5+ years’ experience implementing proven research methods, including but not limited to, user interviews, usability testing, card sorting, cognitive walkthroughs, concept testing and competitive analysisEnd-to-end qualitative and quantitative research skillsNice-to-Have
