What You'll Do

As a part of BCG X you will work closely with consulting teams on a diverse range of advanced topics. You will have the opportunity to leverage software development methodologies to deliver value to BCG's Consulting & BCG X (case) teams, BCG X Product teams and Practice Areas (domain) through providing software developer subject matter expertise, and accelerated execution support. You will collaborate with teams to gather requirements, specify, design, develop, deliver and support software solutions serving client needs. You will provide technical support through deeper understanding of relevant software solutions and processes to build high quality and efficient technology solutions. Assignments will range from short term Proof of concepts/Minimum viable product to long term cases with enterprise grade software development as a critical enabler through the project level description of the role responsibilities and impact within the organization. As a UX/ UI Designer you will be part of the founding design team within the newly created Design Chapter, reporting to Chapter Lead. You will work towards establishing a customer-centric design culture and developing a fit-for purpose self-service data product as the company moves to become a product centric organisation.

 

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate solid understanding of common visual and interaction design principles and practice, and create appropriate sketches, wireframes, flows, design comps, and prototypes with guidance.Value and apply existing customer insights from research to guide design decisions as well as initiating and supporting research efforts with research partnersFrame problems and opportunities clearly through analysis of qualitative and quantitative inputs, and customer and stakeholder perspectivesPropose creative communicative visualizations to streamline research messages to teams and stakeholders (eg. User journeys, personae, systemic maps)Triangulate stakeholder vision, user insights, and team discussion inputs, and integrate insights into design proposition.Propose creative interactive experiences based on outputs of research and ideation activities.Master the phases of design from initial sketching to wireframing and high-fidelity prototyping.Demonstrate experience in facilitating ideation sessions with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.Use design system effectively and appropriately and understand differences and similarities between design systems/platformsDemonstrate experience in testing and iterating on physical and digital designs, both with stakeholders and with users.Create routine, informative communication materials explaining design decision-making rationale to team members and stakeholders.Partner with product managers, engineers, and content designers to solve for customer problems leveraging an agile way of working Understand and incorporate feasibility, viability and strategic stakeholder constraints into the design.Collect, process and act on design feedback constructivelyUse design, ideation, testing and other tools effectively (eg figma, miro, dovetail, testing tools)

What You'll Bring

Qualification:

You have strong UX design experience on B2B and B2C products and experiences.You have experience with UX Strategy, UX Research, UX Design and UI DesignYou've worked with a variety of tools; you'll be able to recommend and use what you think is best e.g. Figma, Adobe suite and othersYou have a wealth of experience creating design wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups for developers to convert to codeYou have design thinking experience to discover problems and come up with creative solutions by thoroughly understanding users' goals, frustrations, and end-taskYou're collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, happy to mentor and develop othersBachelor's degree or equivalent in; Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, or related Design field.You have an entrepreneurial mindset, and you are ready to dive into different types of user and stakeholder problems.
