Senior Vendor/Buyer Manager, Amazon Fresh Grocery

Amazon is looking for a highly motivated, customer obsessed, and organized individual to join Amazon Fresh as a Senior Vendor Manager. This role will manage the relationship with key vendors partners, owning the P&L, solving vendor challenges, and leading negotiations with those partners for Amazon Fresh. You will utilize a wide range of skills and work across major functional areas such as inventory management, marketing, merchandising, pricing, operations, and finance to drive the performance of strategic vendor partners at Amazon.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to lead winning negotiations, provide the highest levels of customer service, operate independently, think strategically, and problem solve. A detail-oriented and analytical mindset is a must along with a strong proficiency in Excel and a natural curiosity to solve complex problems. This role requires you to be external facing working with vendors to optimize category growth and lead negotiations so being a people person is helpful.

You will be required to operate in ambiguous situations, take ownership of projects and work in a fast-paced environment to deliver results. Much of this work will be cross-functional, working with internal and external stakeholders. As a result, a collaborative attitude, great communication skills and a keen sense of initiative are critical to success. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and drive problems until they have a successful resolution.


Key job responsibilities
• Manage the P&L for multiple vendors, responsible for delivering on sales targets
• Manage vendors, their contracts, and day-to-day relationships
• Drive negotiations and represent Amazon when meeting with senior vendor leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional partner teams, including marketing, in stock, and Amazon Advertising
• Conduct ongoing analysis of vendor performance, trends, and competitive assortment and pricing
• Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure early insight into new trends and products, early and exclusive access to new items and differentiated products, merchandising and promotions investment, and competitive costs.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines
• Invent or iterate on processes to simplify, improve and expedite vendor service levels
• Continuously seek information to improve the customer experience and make recommendations to support the business
