Senior Vendor Manager, Selling Partner Services

Selling Partner Services (SPS) team ensures Amazon's Selling Partners and Customers are able to transact in the safest way possible. In order to ensure this safety, we utilize vendors to add rigor and depth to our processes. As a Senior Vendor Manager, you will lead the team of vendor managers to strategize, negotiate, and onboard vendors to cater to business requirements.

Key job responsibilities
• Hire, develop and manage a team of four vendor managers
• Ensure adherence to Amazon’s global spend policy and drive compliance to local procurement policies and procedures
• Iterate on and improve the vendor management strategy, including consolidation of scope, process improvement, governance, and automation
• Manage the vendor onboarding life cycle
• Partner closely with business teams, product teams, Finance, Legal, Tax, Information Security, and Vendors
• Build effective stakeholder relationships, develop relationships with internal customers, external suppliers and other teams within respective market
• Be an advocate for both Amazon and Vendors, embracing a win-win approach
• Prepare negotiation strategy, write strategy documents, and conduct challenging negotiations and escalations with internal leaders and C-suite level vendor contacts
• Drive vendor business and performance reviews with the key vendors
• Establish standards for performance of vendors and own metrics tracking for business reviews
• Work closely with Global Corporate Procurement on larger Vendor relationships and negotiations
• Identify cost optimization and process improvement opportunities and influence teams with less authority to achieve the goals

The Senior Vendor Manager leads a strategic team focused on ensuring the best vendors keeping in mind the cost, quality and speed for Selling Partner Services organization. They are an integral watchdog within this space. Not only does this team facilitate the end-to-end onboarding of vendors, they also protect Amazon by adhering to due diligence procedures that mitigate legal, tax, security, and financial risks to the company. The team ensures required process control; automation; governance; planning and forecasting; data management; internal and external stakeholder management; and collaboration with teams across Amazon. The team also ensures best practices from the industry.
