Responsibilities

Job Purpose and Responsibilities

Position Purpose: to develop, build out a bulk vessel shipping business unit within SCS in coordination with SCS business lines. Position will prioritize development of vessel chartering and management policies and procedures, and management of chartered vessels, the related documentation and underlying commodity transactions. In addition, the business will leverage StoneX products and services from across the platform, including but not limited to market intelligence, execution and clearing of listed and over-the-counter derivatives.

 

Responsibilities:

Document Policy and Standards (30-60 days): Develop and implement relevant policies and framework to build out a global vessel chartering and trading business, including path to full vessel time chartering over 24 -36 months. Start Small (Day 30 – 120+): Begin via voyage charters to replace delivered purchases within INCOMM and Fats & OilInitial forecast is that we will be able to save ~$450K just by cost reductions on current flowsDocument successes and improvements before moving to next stepExpand to service and supply vessels to 3rd party trades to increase efficiency in freight, expand opportunities and drive additional revenue Qualifications

Qualifications:

10+ years relevant experienceBachelor's Degree required

 

Hiring Salary Range $250,000 - $300,000 Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.)   Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.  This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
