**POSITION DETAILS**
The Senior Vice President and Provost at Kingsborough Community College is a key member of the President's executive team. Reporting to the President, theSenior Vice President and Provostis the Chief Academic Officer of the College and participates in the development, evaluation and administration of college policy and the advancement of the College's strategic priorities and planning. TheSenior Vice President and Provostoversees the College’s fourteen academic departments: Allied Health, Mental Health and Human Services; Art; Behavioral Sciences; Biological Sciences; Business; Communication and Theatre Arts; English; Health, Physical Education & Recreation Therapy; History; Library; Nursing; Mathematics & Computer Science; Physical Sciences; and Tourism and Hospitality.The Senior Vice President and Provost has direct responsibility for all curricular and assessment matters, research, and faculty development, including the Library, the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Center for-e-Learning. The Senior Vice President and Provost also supervises the Dean of Student Affairs and oversees all offices and programs supporting student success, high school partnership programs, athletics, student life, student conduct, health services and counseling, Access-Ability services, the Child Development Center, and special programing. The Senior Vice President and Provost is responsible for the management of operations and budget supporting these activities, and for the general health and welfare of academic and student affairs units.
Specific duties of theSenior Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost include:
+ Exercising strong academic administrative leadership with primary responsibility to plan, develop, andadministerallaspectsofthecollege’sprograms,activities,personnel,andbudgetintheacademicand student supportareas;
+ Cultivates strong relationships with external partners, community organizations, and K-12+ institutions to enhance student pathways, expand experiential learning opportunities, and align academic offerings with community needs.
+ Implementingstrongfinancialandadministrativemanagementstrategies, based on proven experience in managing complex budgets and leading significant organizational change initiatives within an academic setting, toaidtheCollegeaswellas individualunitsinmakingstrategicresourceallocationdecisions;
+ Providing leadership in maintaining the highest academic standards and working closely with academic and student affairs deans,program directors, faculty, staff, and student leaders to provide quality educational programs andservicesconsistentwiththecollege’smission;
+ Providingleadershipindevelopingandarticulatinganacademicvisionandestablishingastrategicplanwithinacomplexeducationalinstitution
+ Overseeing student services and initiatives, including but not limited to athletics, student life, student government, services for students with disabilities, military outreach, student judicial affairs, student grievance procedures, programming and outreach to diverse populations, and the Child Development Center.
+ Recommending new or revised systems, methods, programs, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of college services;
+ Fosteringexcellenceinteaching,scholarship,and creativeactivity, to promote innovation, and ensure equitable access to all students, actively working to remove barriers and create pathways to success for all learners;
+ Promoting excellence in allstudentservices; andcultivating an inclusive environment in which all students engage in innovative, stimulating, and high-quality learning opportunities to facilitate personal growth, civic responsibility, and academic & employment success.
+ Developing partnerships, funding resources and collaborations to provide programs that assist particular student populations which may need additional support to achieve academic success.
+ Establishing, implementing, and evaluating long and short-term goals and objectives for the Academic and Student Affairs units.
+ Developing and implementing a comprehensive assessment plan for all academic and student affairs units.
+ Maintaining compliance with all accreditation and regulatory requirements, including those established by Middle States Commission on Higher Education, New York State Education Department, national accrediting bodies, CUNY, New York City, New York State, and the federal government.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Advanced degree required; earned doctorate preferred.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead academic and student affairs with distinction at an institution serving a diverse population, ideally a community college or other open access institution.
+ Record of strong scholarly achievement.
+ Qualification for appointment as a full professor, with expertise in a discipline represented at the college.

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**
$200,000 - $220,000, commensurate with education and experience.
