Job Overview:

As the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing Leslie’s strategic initiatives to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will lead the development and execution of the overall marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals to enhance brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.

In this critical role, you will position Leslie’s as a market leader while shaping the customer experience across all channels. With a data-driven and innovative approach, you will build a world-class marketing organization within a fast-paced, public company environment. As a key leader, you will also foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that aligns with Leslie’s vision and values.

Responsibilities:   

Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with business objectives and supports company growth initiatives. Oversee the development and execution of brand positioning, messaging, and communication strategies to elevate brand visibility and reputation. Lead strategies to attract, retain, and engage customers, optimizing marketing channels such as digital, social media, traditional media, and direct marketing. Drive marketing decisions based on analytics and customer insights, leveraging data to optimize campaigns and measure success. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Work closely with sales, product, and technology teams to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with product launches, sales strategies, and customer experiences. Lead the digital marketing efforts including paid media, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and CRM strategies to drive online traffic, engagement, and sales. Oversee public relations, corporate communications, and content strategies to strengthen Leslie’s external and internal messaging. Manage and optimize the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across channels and initiatives. Present marketing plans and performance updates to the board of directors, executive team, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 10-15+ years of progressive marketing experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (VP, SVP, CMO and CDO) within a public company or fast-growing organization. Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing marketing teams. Deep understanding of digital marketing, brand management, customer engagement, and data analytics in a competitive marketplace. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including board members and investors. Data-driven mindset with experience in leveraging marketing metrics and KPIs to drive decision-making. Ability to translate business objectives into innovative marketing strategies and campaigns. Familiarity with regulations and compliance standards related to marketing, advertising, and customer data protection in a public company environment.
