We're looking for a seasoned professional who can navigate complex systems, design robust architectures, and create seamless user experiences, with a particular emphasis on backend development and DevOps. **Responsibilities** + Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software across the stack, with a focus on backend development. + Lead the design and implementation of scalable enterprise technology solutions. + Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. + Work on solutions for challenging problems, including API systems, internal tools, and other technical challenges. + Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors. + Contribute to cybersecurity efforts, including penetration testing and code validation. + Stay up-to-date with the latest groundbreaking technology, FOSS, and cloud services. + Participate in the solution architecture of new tech initiatives within our company. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience. + 5+ years of experience in full stack web development, with a focus on backend development. + Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, such as Java, Python, and C#. + Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or other relational databases. + Understanding of web application security best practices, including penetration testing and code validation. + Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. + Knowledge of cloud technologies and services provided by AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. + Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly. + Ability to work in a team environment, not only implementing but also helping to define and design system architectures. + Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership. Preferred Qualifications: + Master's degree or further education in Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical related field. + Experience with modern web development trends such as GraphQL, TypeScript, serverless architectures, and microservices. + Familiarity with various industry-standard graphic and design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Zeplin, Figma, Principle, and diagramming/wireframing tools. + Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, CouchDB, or DynamoDB. + Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or Jest. + Knowledge of web accessibility best practices and standards, such as WCAG 2.0 & 2.1. **Additional information** Saatchi is an equal opportunity employer and we welcome and encourage applications from all interested parties.
