Job Description Faststream are working with a major subsea energy business to add a Welding Engineer to their Pipelines team based in Glasgow. 

Key Responsibilities:
Lead R&D activities, welding procedure qualifications, and implementation at fabrication sites. Oversee welding project statuses, resolve issues, provide technical support, and implement corrective actions. Manage Welding Performance Qualification Test (WPQT) activities, ensuring targets are met. Develop and maintain documentation, schedules, and procedures. Contribute to risk management solutions and monitor technical developments. Assist in preparing tender submissions and negotiations. Develop technical solutions and prepare qualifications for client bids. Provide accurate estimates of time, resources, and materials for the Commercial Department. Requirements:
Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field. Experience in subsea welding for pipeline projects. Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes. Experience within Welding Performance Qualification Tests.
