Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Workday Specialist with a strong background in Workday functionality and experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders to join our team. In this role, you will focus on optimizing and enhancing our existing Workday modules, improving user experiences, and driving process improvements across HR functions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Workday, including configuring business processes, enhancing reporting, troubleshooting issues, and leading process improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will bring leadership skills to collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure that Workday is meeting business objectives and operating at peak performance.
As part of the HR Technology team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions and support the ongoing evolution of our Workday environment.
Key Responsibilities
Workday Functional Optimization
Configure and maintain Workday business processes across multiple modules, including HCM, Time Tracking, Payroll, Absence Management, and Talent Management.Partner with HR, IT, and business leaders to identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and user experiences.Lead the effort to continuously improve and streamline HR workflows in Workday, ensuring that systems are aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable value.Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards to track key HR metrics, providing actionable insights for senior stakeholders and leadership teams.Support and troubleshoot Workday issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to critical HR operations.Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
Act as the primary point of contact for senior business leaders, providing expert guidance and solutions to align Workday functionality with business needs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and ensure alignment between business objectives and Workday processes.Lead workshops and discussions to drive the adoption of best practices and ensure the successful rollout of new features and system enhancements across the organization.Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership on how to leverage Workday to improve business performance and achieve organizational goals.Process Optimization and Change Management
Identify opportunities to automate and optimize HR processes, driving efficiencies and improving the user experience for employees and HR professionals.Manage the implementation of new features, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption by end users.Support change management efforts by documenting processes, creating training materials, and delivering sessions to ensure successful adoption of system enhancements.
Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, HR, or a related field.7+ years of hands-on experience with Workday, specifically in configuring and supporting various Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Talent).Proven experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders and leading discussions to align Workday functionality with business goals.Strong understanding of HR workflows and business processes, with the ability to drive process improvements and optimize HR systems.Experience creating reports and dashboards in Workday to track and analyze HR metrics.Preferred:
Workday Pro certification in relevant Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Talent Management, Absence, etc.).Experience leading large-scale process optimization initiatives and system enhancements within Workday.Familiarity with additional Workday modules such as Compensation, Learning, or Recruiting.Technical skills in Workday Report Writing and knowledge of Workday’s analytical capabilities.Key Skills
Workday configuration and support across multiple modules (HCM, Payroll, Time, Absence, etc.).Strong stakeholder management and leadership experience, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.Process optimization and improvement within Workday.Reporting and analytics in Workday.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
