**Job Description:** Working alongside and reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, the Senior Writer, Marketing & Communications will lead in the creation of thought leadership content that brings the DXC narrative to life across various channels and platforms. As a writer, you will join a team of in-house journalists and editors responsible for producing engaging stories that create an emotional connection with different audiences and position DXC as a leader in its field. You will work on a variety of content types—customer stories, trends pieces, industry spotlights, blogs, explainers and more—that help readers make sense of the changing world of business, industries and IT, and the DXC experts that help our clients every step of the way. This role requires a sharp editorial eye to refine content for tone, flow and impact, as well as exceptional skills in crafting compelling stories and headlines that resonate with target audiences and align with DXC’s voice and editorial standards. Essential Job Functions: + Write high-quality, compelling thought leadership content for websites, social channels, videos, blog posts, social media, media publications and more. + Brainstorm innovative storytelling approaches that are easy to consume, artistic and are able to captivate audiences. + Develop overarching story frameworks for campaigns, announcements, events and brand initiatives. + Collaborate with design and creative teams to visually enhance narratives. + Understand target audience demographics and motivations to tailor stories accordingly. + Analyze content performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize future storytelling strategies. Required Skills: + 10-12+ years of relevant work experience in strategic communications, with a minimum of 4+ years in a similar role + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience + The ability to handle complex projects, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with teams. + Strong command of grammar, vocabulary and the ability to craft engaging narratives. + Deep understanding of storytelling techniques, narrative arcs and story development. + Skilled at translating technical jargon into clear, concise language + Research skills and a keen eye for detail. + Ability to conceptualize unique and innovative storytelling approaches. + Able to provide a diverse portfolio to demonstrate your writing ability + Web design experience is a plus. Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $131,300 - $243,800. Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
