We’re seeking a Senior Writer and Editor, Payments to join our Strategic Marketing team, focused on and serving as a primary strategist for Worldpay’s storytelling efforts.

About the team:

The Strategic Marketing team is responsible for Brand, Content, Creative Services and Product Marketing. This team is part of the larger Corporate Affairs group and works closely with Digital Marketing, Events, Corporate Communication and Government Affairs. The Content team itself is responsible for providing messaging support and editorial guidance for the brand. Additionally, the Content team is focused on campaigns, market research, client advocacy, content syndication and thought leadership.

What you will be doing:

Owns our editorial strategy, working closely with stakeholders and marketers to ensure all our content is on brand and in the right voice while delivering interesting and impactful narratives.Provides company-wide messaging support and guidance to stakeholders, marketers and creators.  This support includes creative writing, copywriting and editing – as well as guidance and training.Identifies, evaluates, implements and manages best practices for editorial requests.Develops corporate-wide writing style aimed at taking the complexity out of payments and making it easy to understand.Gaining deep expertise on Worldpay products and product vision—you will need to act as an in-house technology beat reporter with a list of sources across the company to inform product storytelling and connect dots across product groups.Manage multiple stakeholders, incorporating key inputs while maintaining editorial and messaging excellence.Work with executive spokespeople and their teams to tailor blog voice to executive bylines.Write, co-write, or edit content published on the Worldpay website.Contribute to product-demo scripting, sales materials, and other content workstreams.Oversee the primary activities of individual contributors to ensure completion of tasks and attainment of departmental goals.Be willing to write strong copy and contribute to other content workstreams including developing, delivering and maintaining product messaging and information.Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring:

Exceptional writing and editing skills.Communication and leadership skills, with a track record of successful cross-functional projects.A demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a highly matrixed organization.An ability to practice adaptive leadership and thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes and ever-changing environment.Experience as a technology writer and editor at a global company, ideally in the payments or fintech industry.Proficiency in project management methods and techniques to ensure coordination of people (internal clients and external vendors) and processes to achieve desired outcomes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors.Excellent problem solving and time management skills managing multiple deadlines.Exemplary organizational skills, and an uncompromising eye for quality and detail while working on several projects simultaneously.Proficiency to operate independently or as a part of a team.

Worldpay is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $123,810.00 - $207,980.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
