Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Sensing and Internet Of Things (SIOT) intern to participate in a 6-month internship at the Princeton, IL research center. This position will provide exposure to a wide variety of novel sensing equipment and techniques while operating out of a field research center. The position will include engagement with farmers, researchers, and third parties on the cutting-edge of technology, to further an understanding of future farming and phenotyping operations.
Responsibilities – What You’ll Do:
Ensure timely data collection, analysis and organization
Fly UAV’s and/or operate robots whilst operating their associated payloads
Ability to collaborate with different groups and parties to achieve project goals
Day trips to off-site locations may be required
Use of available sensors to create and manage a research project to be presented to station staff
Data processing and analytics
Willingness to work inside/outside in a range of environments
QualificationsQualifications – What You’ll Bring:
Must be enrolled at an accredited university the semester following the internship
Priority will be given to students that are at least current sophomores at an accredited university. Interns can be undergraduate or graduate students.
Must be able to relocate to Princeton, IL for the duration of the internship
Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
Experience with GIS, sensors and agronomy desired
Must be enrolled at an accredited university or community college at time of internship
Microsoft office suite
Programming basics/understanding preferred
Ability to learn and adapt in fast-paced environments
Demonstrated ability to organize large/complex datasets
