Summary About the Position: This position is with the HQDA Chief of Staff Army Director of Army Special Programs Oversight Branch GS-13 located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. Responsibilities Provide strategic advice and guidance to formulate and execute classified procedures occurring on a global basis. Use tactical, operational, strategic operations, and techniques to serve as a DA expert for sensitive and compartmental programs and activities worldwide. Use automated information management systems, file transfer protocol to communicate/access information through local and distant networks from databases and organizations, expediting critical information. Evaluate policy and oversight of highly classified programs to provide direct mission support. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes Reviewing operational support requirements to determine feasibility, legality, and cost to provide recommendations to Sensitive Activities Programs; Conducting Army Operations, support and intelligence analysis of highly sensitive operations and projects occurring on a global basis; and Providing detailed and thorough coordination of all actions such as sensitive operations and intelligence support to DOD federal and non-federal organizations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes Information Problem Solving Security Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
