In this creative center we help to provide the scent and scent technology to make our customers create market-leading products for laundry productsIFF is a Consumer Centric organization, so the Sensory & Consumer Insights team plays a key role in product development processes. Conducting and analyzing consumer research to understand how to fulfill consumer needs and expectations and to support the Creative department and Marketing and Sales decisions. Thanks to tools like sensory research, (online) consumer connects, preference evaluation, product positioning, home use tests, the Consumer Insights team is the voice of the consumer in IFF.
Job description:
Within the innovation team in the global Fabric Care center in Hilversum, Netherlands, we have a vacancy for a Sensory and Consumer Research Associate.
As a research associate, you are a key contributor to consumer and sensory projects:
· Project management - Coordinate projects (consumer research or sensory) and ensure execution within the given timeline. Translate research question into a research design and support questionnaire development, agency briefing, fieldwork coordination, samples logistics and data quality checks.
· Data mining - Analyze large sets of raw data, run advanced statistics using IFF statistical software. Interpret results and key findings with senior colleagues and cross-functional teams to deepen expertise, translate them into insights and actionable recommendations that support the development of fragrances within IFF.
· Knowledge management & communication - Contribute to building project reports. Debrief conclusions and report outputs with senior colleagues/manager. Deliver final presentations to key stakeholders. Address routine questions on project (rationale on design, on content...).
· Category knowledge and collaboration - Support continuous improvement by developing best practices for the Fabric Care category and ensuring global alignment through strong relationships and effective communication.
Job Requirements:
· Master degree in Sensory Science, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Design or related area
· Skills in Consumer Insights methodologies and data analysis.
· You have a basic statistics knowledge and are at ease with statistical programs such as R, JMP, XlStat or similar software
· Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must
· You are very interested in and have affinities with fragrances and insights market research (through studies or work experience)
· You have very good written and oral communication competences in English, and preferably another language
· Learning agility and drive for results
· Effective team player, Informative and Collaborative style
· Organized, curious, autonomous, pro-active
· Ability to evolve in complex and moving environment.
· 2-3 years of work experience in consumer insights or related fields
