Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Program Manager 3.  This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the SDS Division.

What You’ll Get To Do

The ideal candidate is capable of creating and managing high performing teams while providing technical, administrative and management expertise in the day to day activities required to successfully execute complex engineering programs.

Specific work scope includes but is not limited to:

Program technical execution within cost and schedule constraintsUS Government customer and executive program management interface and reportingSetting objectives, monitoring, and reviewing yearly progressDevelopment and maintenance of program execution metricsRisk-mitigation planning and executionEarned value managementManagement and guidance of mechanical and other discipline engineersWorkload management and coordination with functional homeroom resourcesManagement of design and fabrication subcontractsProgram execution staffing in coordination with the hiring teamTechnical direction, guidance, and mentoring of project team membersWorking programs, proposals, or internally-funded activities in a technical or leadership roleDesign, development, and production of support equipment

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Job Qualifications

You’ll Bring These Qualifications 

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM-related field of study from an accredited university or 4 additional years of experience and 8 years of relevant experience, 6 years with a Masters, and 3 years with a PhDMinimum of 3 years in a formal lead/management positionMust be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearanceMust be eligible to obtain Special Program Access, PAR, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs 3 years of technical leadership experience, engineering management, and/or program management experience of high value and visibility projectsControl Account Manager (CAM) experience and Earned Value Measurement System experience

Active DoD Secret security clearanceExperience in design, development, and fabrication of support equipment / tooling on DoD programsDemonstrated experience managing supplier performance, including manufacturing / fabrication oversightRisk management experienceExperience on ICBM or related programsStrong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary Range: $156,000.00 - $234,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
