SEO Marketing Manager
Reports To: Head of Customer Experience
Job Summary:
SEO Marketing Manager is a key position within the AC EMEA marketing organization, responsible for leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy. This role is essential for enhancing the organization's online presence and fostering organic growth across various markets in the EMEA region. The SEO Marketing Manager will set clear SEO goals that align with overall marketing objectives, ensuring that SEO initiatives are integrated into broader marketing campaigns in a cohesive manner.
In this capacity, the manager will oversee a range of SEO activities, including content strategies, keyword research, and link-building strategies, aimed at improving search engine rankings, increasing customer engagement, and driving organic traffic and conversions. A solid understanding of the digital landscape, including current trends in SEO, search algorithms, and user behaviour, is essential. The manager will facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams, including content creators, developers, and designers, to ensure that SEO best practices are effectively applied across all platforms and marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Manage and lead SEO activities of varying scopes, collaborating with local and technical teams across the organization to ensure effective execution of SEO initiatives.
2. SEO Strategy Development: Develop and implement the overall SEO strategy, setting clear SEO goals for the AC EMEA marketing organization and integrating SEO efforts into broader marketing strategies.
3. SEO Analysis, Reporting and Insights: Track key metrics and monitor SEO performance, creating dashboards to visualize progress for stakeholders. Provide data-driven recommendations for activities and oversee their execution across different markets and brands. Understand target audiences, their needs, and preferences to translate insights into actionable SEO strategies that contribute to business growth.
4. Content and Link Building Strategies: Lead the development of content strategies, keyword research, and link-building strategies to enhance search engine rankings and improve customer engagement, organic traffic growth, and conversions.
5. Collaboration & mentoring: Facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams, including content creators, developers, and designers, to integrate SEO best practices into various aspects of the business. Provide training and mentorship to strengthen local marketing teams’ SEO capabilities, ensuring they are equipped to implement effective SEO practices.
6. Training and Documentation: Develop and manage training content, best practices, and handbook documentation for SEO to enhance the capabilities of local marketing teams.
7. Trend Monitoring: Track and monitor developments in the search field, including social media, artificial intelligence, and search engine trends, to stay informed and ensure ongoing findability in the future.
8. Tool Management: Lead the selection of SEO tools to optimize performance, utilizing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Optimize, Google Keyword Planner, and Conductor.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: A degree in Marketing, Business, eCommerce, or a related field, or equivalent proven professional experience.
Experience: 3-5+ years of relevant working experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a related field, with a strong foundation in SEO best practices and technical SEO.
Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with various stakeholders, including content creators, developers, and designers.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of SEO ranking factors and search engine algorithms.
Proficiency in Google properties such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, Google Keyword Planner, and Google Search Console, as well as additional SEO tools like Conductor (or similar).
Excellent working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and schema markup.
Experience in creating and managing dashboards to track key performance metrics.
