**The Opportunity**
Manulife is embarking on a multi-year journey to build a Global Performance Marketing Shared Service Center of Excellence (CoE) which will fuel our bold ambition to become a Digital Customer Leader. The function brings together Marketing Technology (MarTech) and Demand Generation (Demand Gen) – a comprehensive, full-funnel approach designed to drive tailored customer journeys powered by connected data, that when integrated raises brand awareness, drives quality traffic, generates leads, secures sales, and fosters brand loyalty.
The SEO Specialist will drive our continued organic search growth in Asia. The ideal candidate has a firm grasp on SEO best practices and has demonstrable experience planning, executing, and measuring organic growth search strategies. You’ll be a part of a growing cross-functional team, working alongside other SEO SMEs as well as world-class product managers, designers, engineers, content writers, data folks, and subject matter experts. You’ll closely collaborate with others throughout the organization to identify growth opportunities, propose new SEO initiatives, and maximize the organic visibility of our businesses across the globe.
**Role Responsibilities**
+ Effectively convey SEO concepts and strategies to our partners in markets throughout Asia in a concise, meaningful, and easy-to-understand manner
+ Guide segments through keyword research, recommend fixes for technical SEO issues & help drive off-page optimization
+ Support the development of content briefs, as well as content writing and on-site optimisation to support local Asia websites
+ Support foundational SEO workstreams and ensure initiatives are aligned shared service OKRs and performance goals
+ Use search data to understand user intent, drive content strategy, and identify business opportunities for segments
+ Be a champion of collaboration, by proactively reaching out and working with segments and functional stakeholders to mobilize teams and bring all partners together through open dialogues to drive towards a common goal / approach
+ Provide regular communication to management and the program project stakeholders - status, risks and issues
+ Stay up to date with the latest digital trends to identify potential applications for clients like speed, voice search, AI, machine learning automation, omnichannel search optimization, and more.
+ Support the Search practice within the company, serving as a strategic thought leader, educator, and advocate
**Skills/Competencies:**
+ 5+ years of experience working in SEO
+ Demonstrable proficiency with onsite SEO, and how changes to crucial elements may impact organic performance
+ Understanding of SEO's impact on overall business performance
+ Experience working closely alongside product, engineering, and content teams
+ Experience with opportunity sizing and projecting growth
+ Ability to coach SEO specialists and delegate SEO related tasks cross-functionally to the content team
+ Experience in developing frameworks and reporting to systematically track and improve search performance
+ Background in insurance or financial industry highly preferred
+ Fluency in written and spoken English, Chinese or Japanese

+ Experience with SEO tools for crawling, rank tracking, keyword research, and technical auditing, such as BrightEdge, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, Google Ads, etc.
+ AEM & Adobe Analytics Proficient
+ A working understanding of data visual products such as Power BI or DOMO.
