What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.
Summary of Job: The SEO Fulfillment Team utilizes SEO best practices to develop an SEO strategy for the client and fully own and implement the SEO strategy. The Specialist, SEO I will be accountable for SEO tasks assigned and will utilize their SEO knowledge to perform SEO tasks in line with the client’s SEO strategy. The Specialist, SEO I is responsible for crafting tasks in accordance with SEO best practices, the client’s strategy, quality guidelines, and applicable task due dates.
Using keyword research tools to research and select appropriate keyword phrases for the account that are relevant to the customer’s business, customer’s audience, industry, location(s) being targeted, and have an acceptable amount of search volume/competition volume.
Execute Search Engine Optimization activities for the customer’s website; including:
Technical SEO elements: Creating a sitemap, robots.txt file, and WWW Redirects
On-Page SEO elements: Editing fields in line with SEO best practices, such title tags, meta description tags, image alt tags, website copy, and heading tags
New SEO content: Brainstorming topics for new content/blog posts, working with internal partners to provision content, and adding content to the customer’s website and/or blog.
Off-Page SEO elements: Working with our off-page SEO vendors to deploy a quality, effective off-page SEO strategy for the customer’s website
Log in to customer websites via website builders, FTP, and/or the customer’s CMS to properly optimize the website, with some light website platform/coding knowledge needed.
Regularly review customer performance for your SEO account portfolio, make adjustments to improve performance, and triage any accounts with lower than expected performance.
Work within Web.com systems to document the SEO strategy, SEO tasks, and collaborate as needed with other team members working on the account.
Align with and abide by team Product, Quality, Productivity, and Turnaround Time standards.
Specialist, SEO I team members will continue to hone their SEO knowledge as they are assigned completed work, and will receive refreshers and ongoing training on SEO concepts.
Specialist, SEO I team members are expected to take part in meetings to discuss customer performance and team updates.
Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business or other related field preferred, but not required.
Prior SEO or online marketing experience recommended, but not required.
Some HTML/website platform experience recommended, but not required.
Some experience in Google Analytics & Google Search Console recommended, but not required.
Should demonstrate some experience in writing, such as through technical or creative writing
Must demonstrate at least 1 year in professional role(s). Professional experience may include internships or roles not related to online marketing.
Experience in working with a team and having proficient communication skills is recommended, but not required
Experience in being self-motivated and having effective decision-making skills is recommended, but not required
Experience in multi-tasking and being well-organized is recommended, but not required
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
