Impact is short-term through individual and team contributions. Scope is primarily within own subject area in a function/unit. Actions and errors impact on program, project deliverables or function. Provides measurable input into new products, processes, standards, operational plans, or project execution in support of the organisation's business/ project strategies, with some impact on business unit/ function overall results.

Scope & Contribution

Individual Contributor: Operates autonomously in own subject area. Can analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. Managerial/Supervisory/Executor : Clear managerial responsibilities for people and their deliverables . Typically first level of solid line management. Interprets policies. Ensures existing plans are put into operation. Executes and/or oversees processes to meet customer needs. Responsible for analysis, design & development of policies, plans, programs. Collaborate together with Project LT for Project starts up and FTR deliverable as per customer scope.

Knowledge & Experience

Management & Site Engineering & Solution Experience / Achieved well-advanced skills of a specific professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and organisational practice or expertise. Recognised expert in their field (depth & breadth). Typically requires 5-8 years extensive relevant experience and/or a graduate / postgraduate equivalent degree.

Enhanced Line Management Accountability: The Vertical Lead will oversee people management and manage operational topics from presales, startup, and project execution, aligning with SEQ vertical deliverables. Ensure dual focusing holistic approach to both personnel and operational excellence.Resource Allocation and Competence Management: Vertical leader will be responsible for assigning resources based on demand, ensuring that the right competencies are matched with the right tasks. This strategic allocation is crucial for maintaining high performance and meeting project deadlines.Performance Monitoring and Coaching: By closely monitoring performance and providing targeted coaching, the Vertical Lead will foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. This approach aligns with the MN LDO MoO, ensuring that our teams are well-supported and capable of achieving their full potential.Operational Excellence: Managing both people and operational topics to streamline processes and improve coordination across different phases of project execution.Strategic Leadership: The Vertical Lead will bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to the team, driving forward our strategic goals and ensuring that we remain competitive in the market.Responsible to update and maintain competence registration of engineers.People management, objective setting, and career progression of engineers.Responsible for meeting CoDe KPIs related to Personal Development (PEP) Plan and certification targets.Responsible for minimizing attrition.Liaises with Technology Manager to develop annual resource plan for New Product Introduction / New Services Introduction (NPI/NSI) enablement.Ensures timely completion of travel and visa formalities for New Product Introduction / New Services Introduction (NPI/NSI) project / System Verification (SyVe) / Proof of Concept (PoC) participation.Resource demand planning, allocation, fulfilment, and gap analysis.Executes 5x Knowledge Transfer (KT) from Subject Matter Expert (SME) pool to ensure mass availability of engineers on New Product Introduction / New Services Introduction (NPI/NSI).Responsible to meet utilization targets for the team.Allocates resources to ensure continuity in support for the customer.Responsible for achieving productivity and transformation targets defined for the stream.Supports delivery managers on competence and resource-related issues raised by customer teams.Contributes to the development of concepts to determine the professional direction of own organizational unit.

Acts as a professional leader for staff, work teams, or task forces, often the most senior specialist in a team, who serves as a best practice resource within own organizational unit and/or is recognized as an expert within the same professional area in the business.
