The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, especially multi-user computers, such as servers. This role is crucial in maintaining the IT infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's technical environment. This position will be **full-time** and **remote.** **What You’ll Do** + System Maintenance and Monitoring: + Regularly check server health and performance. + Monitor system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely. + Patching and Updates + Apply patches and updates to servers to maintain security and efficiency. + Ensure all systems are up to date with the latest updates and security patches. + Backup and Recovery Operations + Implement and manage backup and recovery plans. + Ensure data integrity and availability through regular backups. + User Administration + Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. + Ensure proper authentication and authorization mechanisms are in place. + Technical Support + Provide technical support to IT staff and employees. + Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner. **What You'll Need** + Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in server administration. + Strong knowledge of server hardware and software. + Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux servers. + Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) + Familiarity with network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a remote team environment. **Physical Demands** + Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards + Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. + Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor **Reasonable accommodation statement** If you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 – 8111.
