Server Floater

Job Summary: The All-Network Server Floater will be responsible for routine tasks related to providing meal service at a wide range of school locations. Receive, set up, heat, serve, and/ or portion meals being served at school sites. Believe in and follow the practices and standards of Revolution Foods.
Delivers Revolution Foods quality standards for all menu items per approved SOPs. Floaters will be notified the day prior or in most last-minute circumstances even the morning of to report to their assigned location. Based on company needs, the floater must always be prepared to provide service for meal periods at multiple locations that can change from day to day. The floater might be notified the night before or the morning of if the floater does not receive a phone call that they will not be needed.
Floaters will also be responsible for showing up to and participating in special company events as needed such as BBQs and food tastings. Floaters must absolutely have reliable transportation at all times. Floaters will receive gas mileage reimbursement for the distance traveled. Floaters are guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours a week (4 hours a day) Monday-Friday excluding holidays. Hours on certain occasions may extend beyond the guaranteed amount based on company needs on any given day. Floaters must be committed to being punctual and adhering to the time and attendance policy.


Required Qualifications:

• Ensure food quality standards and HACCP plans are followed from delivery to re-therm (heat/ re-heat) to presentation/service of the final product. in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service.
• Follows recipes and instructions to set up and break down the food line area, prep, stock, assemble and serve meals, snacks, and beverages.
• Handle and receive student ID cards, cash, or check, and return change when necessary. Operates the Point of Sale (POS) in a manner that is compliant with school contracts and government compliance regulations.
• Assist server team with food management, set up, service, and clean up after breakfast and lunch meals.
• Records daily events, waste, participation data, and variances. Completes daily procedure checklist (cleaning, timeline, logs, etc.) observant of the changes in business models, and can communicate those changes.
• Keep students informed of the scheduled menu and new items while looking for ways to increase breakfast participation, get student/customer feedback, (food quality, likes, and dislikes) during non-service time (if allowed), and communicate feedback to management.
• Maintain a food-safe environment, complying with State, Federal, and Revolution Foods food safety policies. Maintains a clean, organized, sanitary-free service area.
• Observes a safety-first environment, free of hazards including a dry floor, proper floor drain coverage, and proper knife or equipment use and storage.
• May be required to rack trays and products, and stage racks for use or pick up.
• Complies with the company's green waste compost and recycling program.
• Performs other duties as needed.
• Must understand and agree that Revolution Foods reserves the right to change employees’ school sites and schedules at any time, with or without cause or advance notice.
• Be available and ready to work a flexible schedule, covering early morning and mid-day shifts

Required Experience, Education and Prerequisites for Server Role:

• 1 or more years of customer service experience in a mid-high volume food service facility or Restaurant.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• ServSafe food handlers permit is required to be on the school premises and can be obtained after the offer is accepted.
• Successfully complete and pass each of the prescreening requirements such as Background Check, Fingerprinting, and TB Test. These prerequisites must be maintained every 1 to 3 years depending on the requirements.
• Review/execute and sign any required Company documents/training that have been revised and/or mandated year over year. For example: Harassment Training, Company Handbook, Job Descriptions, etc.

Required Knowledge and Skills
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Ability to be punctual
• Able to clock in and out using the Revolution Foods UKG Mobile Application
• Knowledge of safe and proper food handling procedures, and kitchen equipment is preferred

• Ability to provide excellent customer service, work well with others, and participate as part of a team.
• Able to physically perform the requirements of the job and lift 25-50 pounds
