OverviewThe Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact for customers in the service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout the repair and maintenance process. This role coordinates between customers and service technicians, accurately documents service requests, and provides clear communication about timelines, costs, and service recommendations. The Service Advisor is essential to delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the success of the dealership’s service operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Interaction
Greet customers promptly and professionally to create a welcoming environment. Listen to customer concerns, document service requests, and provide expert advice on necessary repairs and maintenance. Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers regarding vehicle status, estimated completion times, and costs.Service Coordination
Create and manage repair orders, ensuring all customer concerns and technician notes are accurately documented. Work closely with service technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality repair work. Coordinate warranty repairs and obtain necessary manufacturer authorizations.Sales and Upselling
Provide customers with detailed service and repair estimates. Educate customers on the benefits of recommended services, maintenance plans, and potential upgrades. Promote service specials and dealership programs to maximize customer value.Customer Satisfaction
Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction. Conduct post-service follow-ups to verify customer satisfaction and gather feedback.Administrative Duties
