We are seeking a talented and motivated Engineers to join our team and play a key role in driving application support and runtime operations for a set of applications aligned to key customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and a passion for ensuring the reliability and performance of critical business applications. Candidate is responsible to provide consultation and strategic recommendations by quickly assessing and remediating complex platform availability issues. As a part of our tech team, we could work together to bring ground-breaking and diverse ideas to life that power the systems, services, products, and platforms that millions of customers around the world depend on. **Responsibilities:** + Provide hands-on support for the runtime operation of our applications, ensuring high availability and performance. + Collaborate with software engineering and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve runtime issues, including performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and system failures. + Contribute to the design and implementation of monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to proactively identify and address potential runtime issues. + Participate in incident response and root cause analysis efforts to ensure the stability and resilience of the applications. + Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and provide input on runtime and operational considerations during the software development lifecycle. + Contribute to the development and maintenance of runtime automation and tooling to streamline operational processes and improve efficiency. + Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team. + Mentoring your peers and demonstrate a passion for continuous learning environment for the team. + Drive automation and ensure automated test scripts are completed for new features. + Good attitude, communication, willingness to learn and collaborate. + Bring a culture of innovation, ideas, and continuous improvement. + Challenging status quo, demonstrate risk taking, and implement creative ideas. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelors Degree + Experience in software engineering, infrastructure operations, or a related field, with a focus on runtime operations and application support, preferred. + Experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and containerization technologies, with experience in supporting critical business applications being a plus. + Experience with monitoring and logging tools, as well as incident management best practices, to ensure the reliability and performance of applications in a production environment. + Practical experience on implementation various system integration solutions, such as, APIs and Data integration layers (Batch & Real-Time). + Experience in design and developing mission critical highly available enterprise applications and Java applications performance tuning. + Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment and platforms, especially GIT, Maven, + Extensive knowledge of Cloud (including OneAmex platform) and Distributed systems + Working knowledge of Java, .Net, Unix, Databases, full stack engineering, etc. + Working knowledge of MicroStrategy + Extensive knowledge of Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, ELF, Kibana + Working knowledge of AppViewX + Working knowledge of Soap & Rest API + Experience in building automations (using scripting/Ansible/Python/Java etc.) + Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills + Experience with debugging techniques for root cause analysis. + Expertise in identifying Application/Infrastructure risks, mitigation strategy and the ability to work well with others to ensure risks are mitigated. + Experience implementing highly available solutions (e.g., always on, clustering, mirroring) as well as performance troubleshooting and tuning. + Experienced level ability in resolving and detailing incidents by using innovative engineering practices. + Proactively looking beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities. + Establish technical requirements based on industry trends and new technologies. + ITIL and Agile knowledge. + Experience with debugging infrastructural and Database (MongoDB, Oracle, Db2, Couchbase etc.) related issues. + Experience with using CICD tools (Jenkins, GitHub etc.) **Preferred:** + Ability to seamlessly lead a diverse, global multi-site team within a matrixed setting + Ability to handle high pressure situations, especially on major impact bridges (EMIM bridges) + Ability to create and provide clear and concise leadership communications + Experience with DevOps or Full Stack, operating highly available IT infrastructure and building live production APIs and services. + Experience working in an Agile, CI/CD toolchain or other rapid application development methods. + Hands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testing. + SQL knowledge + Exposure to Machine Learning and AI. + Conceptual Enterprise architecture knowledge. + Good communication skills - able to explain concepts to product managers and business partners in ways that are meaningful to them. + Hands on experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as DB2, Redis, Postgres, Couchbase etc. + Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well in a diverse team-focused environment. + Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on understanding and addressing runtime issues in a timely manner. + Extensive knowledge of Cloud (including OneAmex platform) and Distributed systems + Working knowledge of One Amex, One Data, Kafka + Experience in reducing the “toil” demonstrating solid site reliability engineering skills **Qualifications** Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
