Service Business Development Manager
Duties and Responsibilities: + Market Research: This role requires thorough market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and opportunities for service business growth adjacent to the Semicon, Electronics, and adjacent industries. Analyzing industry data and competitor strategies is critical to developing informed sales and marketing plans. Identify possible service business opportunities. + New Service Business Idea Generation and follow through: Develop and execute effective new service business idea generation strategies. This may involve brainstorming initiatives, team workshops, cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging digital marketing channels. Own and follow through with ongoing new service business opportunities identified, including but not limited to commercial repair and others. + Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, which the sales organization can adapt to achieve revenue targets. This includes setting sales goals, creating sales plans, and continuously monitoring and optimizing sales processes. + Proposal and Pitch Preparation: Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to win new service business opportunities. Customize proposals to address client needs and showcase the organization’s strengths. + Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiate client terms and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes, such as closing sales, securing contracts, and meeting or exceeding revenue and profit goals. + Market Expansion: Identify new market segments and geographic regions to expand the new service business. Identify recurring revenue to be generated in the new service business developed. Develop strategies to penetrate these markets and establish a strong presence. + Team Direction and Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with the Service Marketing team and other teams within the Global Customer Services team. Partner with the different business development teams in Teradyne to evaluate poteantilla new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures. Foster a collaborative environment to maximize team performance, encourage knowledge sharing, and align efforts with the overall business objectives. Essential Qualifications & Skills Required: The ideal candidate will possess an advanced technical or business degree and five years of product development, sales, and marketing experience in a highly dynamic growth environment. These include: + Experience in service business exploration and evaluation in technology, semiconductors, capital equipment, and related industries. + Skill working and operating globally. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Ability to travel as required. Other Skills: + Ability to solicit the involvement of others to build a sense of ownership. + Ability to organize activities and operations and direct others in accomplishing goals and objectives. + Reacts quickly to complex situations and applies problem-solving skills. + Works with employees, customers, and outside organizations professionally.
