Service Delivery Engineer (Hybrid-Flexible Options)

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Service Delivery Engineer to join Broadridge Trading and Connectivity Solutions’ growing and busy Managed Services department on a permanent basis. The candidate would have to be comfortable working US hours.


As a member of the Infrastructure Project Management team, you will provide a crucial role in delivering connectivity and infrastructure projects to our clients (Banks & Trading Firms), dealing with BAU requests from our clients and planning various internal or external infrastructure and connectivity related migrations. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to schedule and within budget.


The role is a hybrid of Project Management and Service Delivery where you will be required to collaborate with network engineers, system engineers, sales, clients, vendors, and other teams. You will be act as the liaison between our clients and the various internal teams. Both internal and external projects have a direct impact on Broadridge’s clients.


We are seeking candidates who have hands on experience working with major data centers coupled with a solid technical understanding of networks and connectivity. This position offers the opportunity to work with leading banks, exchanges, and vendors in the fintech industry.

Responsibilities

Liaising with clients, vendors, networks, architects, sales & other teams to ensure project requirements can be delivered.

Attending Initial Kick off Meetings to gather the scope and requirements for new deliveries.

Documenting connectivity and technical information in Broadridge’s systems.

Delivering connectivity and market data between hosted platforms and 3rd parties.

Working with clients, vendors, exchanges, and internally on any connectivity or infrastructure migrations.

Ordering cross connects, circuits, market data and hardware.

Picking up BAU tickets in Jira

Testing connectivity to ensure it works correctly before handing over to TSD.

Reviewing and understanding the scope of projects and their contractual components.

Ensuring that there is no scope creep during project deliveries.

Acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and external parties to deliver projects according to plan.

Coordinating meetings with internal teams, vendors, or clients: fielding their questions, communicating key messages to promote a clear understanding.

Reporting project progress internally and externally

Anticipating and acting proactively to address issues that may arise.

Quoting clients and raising order forms.

Your profile

Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Minimum of 5 years delivering projects and/or networking experience

Customer facing with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent understanding of network terminology, circuit terminology and WAN technology

Ability to deal with ambiguity and be able to clarify for others.

Logically inclined, to think outside of the box and be confident to suggest your own or alternative solutions to a problem.

Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment with the desire and passion to learn and adapt quickly.

Proactive and drives for results.

Ability to manage time, prioritize and multitask effectively.

Possessing a ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to proactively seek out tasks and anticipate business requirements.

Good attention to detail with the ability to question and say ‘no’ where necessary.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
