Join us as a Service Engineer for the Motion Business Area where you will be responsible for executing service and maintenance tasks in accordance with standard processes, workflows, procedures, and safety guidelines. This position reports to the Field service manager and this position is based in Parañaque City, Philippines.

Your responsibilities

Providing on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance independently, identifies technical problems and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in different Service categories.Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing specialist support and solutions.Coordinating and executing specialist projects through planning, meeting milestones and regular reviews.Identifying opportunities for the development of new service applications, equipment and methods.Most domestic and some international travel will be required, as the role will require hands-on support at customer sites.Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering preferably licensed would be idealPrevious Service experience in HV/MV equipment, HV/MV transformer, protection relay, HV/MV switchgear, power substation…would be of added value.Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing of variable frequency drives along other automation products / systems in various light to heavy industries gives added factor.Knowledge or exposure to the below will be highly regarded: o\tWater and Wastewater Applicationo\tMineral, Mining and Cement Applicationo\tBMS, HVAC and the likes in Commercial and/or Industrial settingsAbility to travel domestic and international. A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills
